What is an Equity Members Project Code Presentation?

Actors' Equity Association is the labor union representing over 45,000 American actors and stage managers working in the professional theatre. For 90 years, Equity has negotiated minimum wages and working conditions, administered contracts, and enforced the provisions of agreements with theatrical employers across the country.

An Actors Equity Members Project code presentation is a showcase produced by its actors for purposes of getting work. As such, the budget is very small, advertising is very limited, and no mandatory admission may be charged.

That said, all donations are gratefully accepted. Any profits will be split equally among the cast and crew. If we sell 60% of our seats at an average ticket price of $10, we estimate that each person who works on the show will get $130. With gas prices these days that might pay for transportation but not much else.

Our box office service, TheaterMania, is very good but they can't really handle a bunch of different prices when you reserve your tickets. So, if you would like to give something other than the suggested donation of $20 Adults or $10 Students and Seniors, please order online and type in the promotional code "dad", which stands for "donation at door". That way, you pay nothing online but you can still reserve your seat. And when you pick up your tickets you can pay "whatever is in your heart". : )
